Professional Elective Courses: Each graduate student is permitted to take at least 7 free elective courses with 3 credits each in the two main fields of “Labor Relations and Policy” and “Human Resources,” and also “Common Courses.” In addition, each graduate student is permitted to take 6 credits of graduate-level or PhD-level course in the home department or other departments. After completing the courses with a total of 27 credits, the student may apply for a degree examination. The following courses can be considered as free elective courses for the graduate school in the Department, and the grade of study can be decided according the actual class situation. |

Foreign Language Proficiency:
The graduate student in the Department shall pass any of the following English Proficiency Tests before applying for a degree examination. |

Note: The test certificate shall be issued within 4 years as valid proof of English proficiency when the graduate student makes an application to the Department. |

The graduate student who has not achieved the passing standard of the tests can take any course offered in English or at least one required core course in the “Applied Languages Studies (Certificate Program)” during the semester. The passed credits (70 is the passing score for graduate students and 60 is for undergraduate students) can be used as the substitute for the passing standard of “English Proficiency Test.” For the course taken in the “Applied Languages Studies (Certificate Program),” please check the regulations of the Center for Language Studies in NCCU. |
